Andela is a global talent marketplace and remote technology company that connects companies with pre-vetted, senior software engineers from around the world, primarily from Africa and other underrepresented markets . Founded in 2014 in Nigeria by Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Jeremy Johnson, Christina Sass, and Ian Carnevale , the company initially gained fame for discovering and training brilliant developers in Africa and embedding them as full-time staff in partner companies. It has since evolved from a physical training and placement model into a fully remote organization that builds distributed engineering teams for global clients.
